Visions show the way the company wants to go in the future. What is the fantasy? What are the new ideas? Visions shall have a strong and colourful language, because they aim to attract potential investors and to motivate staff. The mission statement shall be somehow concrete and at the level of goals we even have dates and numbers. The strategy describes how the company is going to follow the vision in the near future: just one way, a multiple strategy or alternative approaches to attack the market.
Values are the solid basis of a leadership culture. Visions without a link
to the companies values are meaningless. Companies without values waiste
a huge potential of streamlining the corporate culture and making the leadership
culture visible, reliable, assessable and measureable.
